Description
Architect V. Stasov (1775–1848) greatly contributed to the architecture of Saint Petersburg of the period of classicism. Upon his project there was created the monumental facade of the barracks of the Paul’s guards regiment at the Field of Mars, triumphal arches at Narva and Moscow gates. Ру is also the author of one of the largest cathedrals of the city - Saint Trinity (Izmailov) cathedral.
