Description
A new facade of the Mining Institute - one of the most expressive examples of the Saint Petersburg Empire style. Apart of the beauty of the architectural composition, its architectural value was calculated very good. The grand twelve-column portico of the Greek Doric order completes the panorama of the construction of the right side of the Neva river. The sculpture groups are made of stone from Pudost upon the models of S. Pimenov and V. Demut-Malinovsky.
