In the XX century the Moscow Kremlin suffered an irreparable damage. One of the most ancient Russian cities, that was proud of its architectural masterpieces of different ages, had lost famous Chudov Monastery and the Ascension Convent in Kremlin. These were extremely important orthodox centres, where key events of the Russian history took place.
